Miley Cyrus has teased plans to release a new single before the end of 2012.

The Can’t Be Tamed singer has updated her official website with a set of new raunchy promo images – showing off her new cropped, blonde hair style – as well as hinting at unleashing fresh material later this year..

Cyrus tweeted: “How do y’all feel about me confirming a single for this year!!!!”

The former Hannah Montana star has worked with Pharrell Williams on her new LP, with the 19-year old previously telling Marie Clare magazine the story of how their collaboration came about.

Miley revealed: “Pharrell said, ‘Don’t be offended because this is how I talk, but [I thought], that b*tch is actually living. She’s not sitting there with her Momager’s chain on her door. I want to free that b*tch. I want her out of her cage’.

“I’d never worked like that before. I was talking to him like he was an older brother, and everything I said was going onto the track.”

She added: “[I told my manager Bruce Flohr], ‘I don’t need the money. I don’t care if I make a dime on this. Let me make a good record’. I got in there with Pharrell, and it was magic. Oh, dude, I’m so happy.”
